eCommerce Platform Migration
We move stores between Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, CS-Cart and proprietary platforms — together with products, customers, order history and search rankings.

Who it is for
- The store has outgrown its platform, or upkeep has become expensive
- The current platform is shutting down, raising prices or no longer developed
- You need customers and order history moved, not just the catalogue
- You are worried about losing search traffic when URLs change
- A previous migration attempt lost part of the data
What is included
Audit of the current store
We review the catalogue structure, custom fields, integrations and data volume, and return a list of what moves one-to-one and what needs a decision.
Catalogue migration
Products and variants, categories and collections, images, attributes, metafields and stock levels.
Customers and orders
Customer accounts and order history move across with line items, totals and dates, so analytics and repeat sales survive.
Redirect map
A 301 map from old URLs to new ones. Where the platforms disagree structurally — nested BigCommerce categories versus Shopify collections, for example — the mapping is done by hand.
Integrations
Payments, shipping, CRM, inventory, email marketing and analytics reconnected on the new platform.
Verification and launch
We reconcile product and order counts, test the checkout end to end, switch the domain and watch for errors afterwards.
How the work goes
-
1
Audit and migration plan
We study the current store, measure the data, list the integrations and agree what moves and what gets simplified.
2–3 days
-
2
Test migration
The new store is built on a staging URL and the data is moved. Your live store keeps trading throughout.
5–7 days
-
3
Reconciliation
Product, order and customer counts are compared before and after; redirects and checkout are verified.
3–5 days
-
4
Launch and watch
We switch the domain and monitor crawl errors and orders for two weeks.

Price

The rate covers development, testing and the handover. Scoping your project, writing the estimate and answering questions before you commit are not billed.
Minimum engagement: 10 hours. Below that, the back-and-forth costs more than the work itself.

Will we keep our search rankings?
Changing platform usually changes URLs. We build a 301 map from the old addresses to the new ones so the accumulated authority follows. A small dip in the first weeks is normal; rankings recover after that.
Does order history move too?
Yes. Customers and their orders move with line items, totals and dates. On one project we moved roughly 2,000 products and 15,000 historical orders off a closed cloud platform.
How long does a migration take?
Usually two to four weeks, depending on catalogue size, the number of integrations and how differently the two platforms are structured.
Will the store go offline?
No. The new store is built in parallel on a staging URL, and the domain is switched only once everything checks out.
Can you migrate from a custom platform?
Yes. If there is an API we work through it; if not, through data exports. We have moved stores off proprietary cloud platforms onto BigCommerce and Shopify.
What if the catalogue has tens of thousands of products?
Large catalogues are moved in bulk rather than one API request per product — faster, and it does not run into the platform rate limits.
